Wales & West Utilities Finance plc (WWUF) is a funding vehicle to support the debt financing requirements of Wales & West Utilities Limited (WWU)
The principal activities of WWU are the transportation of gas, the supply of transportation services to gas shippers and the ownership, operation and development of the gas transportation network in its area of operations. Additional activities undertaken by WWU are the supply of gas meters and the provision of meter related services. WWU transports gas on behalf of approximately 30 gas shippers licensed by the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority under the Gas Act 1986 through approximately 35,000 kilometres of pipelines that it owns and operates to approximately 2.5 million consumers and to other independent gas transportation systems.

WWU, a company incorporated in England & Wales on 17 February 2004 (registered number 05046791), holds a gas transporter's licence (the "GT Licence") granted by the Gas and Electricity Markets Authority under the Gas Act 1986 (as amended) for the areas described in the GT Licence. Its immediate parent is Wales & West Utilities Holdings Limited, the ultimate parent of which is owned by a consortium of investors.
